About the Role

The Company is seeking a Compliance - Functions Control Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Compliance function's risk and control environment. This includes providing expert guidance on processes and control design, ensuring effective risk assessment, and supporting interactions between Compliance, 1LoD, and 2LoD Non-Financial Risk and Enterprise Risk functions. The role involves leading activities related to Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Incident Management, and related reporting for Compliance Control Management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the regulatory environment in the financial services industry, experience in change management, and a strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Applicants for the Compliance - Functions Control Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' specialized experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on Operational Risk or Compliance Risk. The role requires expert knowledge of process and control design, risk assessment, issue management, and incident management. A strong background in continuous process improvement practices and experience with data analytics or data visualization is a plus. The candidate must be adept at problem-solving, have strong analytical abilities, and be capable of managing projects effectively. A BA/BS is required, with a preference for advanced degrees in a relevant discipline. The role demands a professional with a proactive approach to assessing and mitigating risks, as well as a commitment to fostering a strong control culture within the organization.
