Experienced Retail Sales Professional
Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, sales professional to join our growing team. This role is based in our flagship store in the heart of downtown Westport where we offer a carefully curated range of luxury products including tableware, luxury gifts, antiques, mid-century glassware, indoor/outdoor furniture and lighting.
The ideal candidate will have deep retail sales experience and come with a keen interest in developing strong relationships with clients to generate repeat purchases. Since we are also looking for the successful candidate to lead furniture sales for the store from our curated luxury vendors, we are looking for experience in high end furniture sales.
The right person will be success-oriented and thrives in an upscale, client centric environment. This role reports directly to the store’s General Manager, and sits within the retail sales team. We are looking for high energy, strong interpersonal skills, and an elevated level of service for this specialty role. In partnership with company peers, you will work with your customers on their purchases, from choosing the right products to fulfilling payment transactions at the cash register. We will create the platform for you to strive to drive business growth and exceed goals and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome all customers with a warm, genuine enthusiasm both on sales floor and through phone. Exemplify friendly and engaging service and professionalism. Grow and cultivate relationships with existing clients, while expanding client base and developing new connections to meet and exceed goals centered around furniture business
• Lead furniture sales through a unique list of curated vendors
• Coordinate furniture deliveries with clients
• Manage daily store operations, including but not limited to: cleaning store, inclusive of back of house areas such as kitchen and bathroom areas, stocking merchandise, maintaining visual standards, processing inbound and outbound shipment, as well as execution of floor moves
• Actively participate in company communication, reading any communication delivered, and offering feedback on product, processes or client feedback as necessary
• Take an active role in learning about product knowledge and vendor unique selling points, utilizing company provided information, tools and trainings. Seek opportunities to grow your fluency in EVB brand, products and services.

• Minimum two years professional experience in retail furniture sales
• Minimum two years experience in upscale retail role
• Competent in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Availability requirements:
This is a full time position that requires availability of five days per week. Weekend availability is required in this role. Schedules and hours may change and flex due to the needs of the business.
