The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Dental Hygienist to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Omaha, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care for all. Utilizing an integrated care approach, our providers work collaboratively to address all aspects of patients’ health and believe that exceptional, compassionate care should be accessible and affordable for all. Medical, dental, behavioral health, and outreach services are coordinated to ensure well-rounded, comprehensive care.

Your Role:

  • Assist the Dentist in delivering appropriate direct dental care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients on proper home care to achieve and maintain oral health
  • Perform routine treatment procedures such as prophylactic cleaning, scaling and root planing, coronal polishing, taking radiographs, application of sealants and fluoride treatments, and other related procedures
  • Perform patient triage and initiate patient care as appropriate for walk-in patients

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene or an associate’s degree in dental hygiene
  • Active license as a dental hygienist in the state of Nebraska
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices
  • Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
  • Minimum one year of experience preferred
