Job Description

SM&RC is looking for a structural engineer with 4 to 6 years of structural engineering experience to join our team. We are a structural engineering firm of located near Belmar in Lakewood, Colorado. Our clients include private, state, and federal entities.

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects including multi-family buildings, dams, pump stations, canal structures, single family homes, and mining facilities. We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable working in a small firm environment to perform the responsibilities below:

Responsibilities

  • Prepare design calculations and drawings for a range of structures under support from a Senior Engineer.
  • Perform construction related services including submittal reviews and on-site structural observations.
  • Coordinate projects with architects and civil engineers

Required Qualifications

  • 4 to 6 years of structural engineering experience.
  • B.S. in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
  • Colorado P.E License or ability to obtain one within 3 months.
  • Strong structural analysis skills for both vertical and lateral loading
  • Experience with the latest IBC building codes.
  • Experience with concrete, wood, or steel design and detailing

Bonus Qualifications

  • M.S. in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
  • Experience with Revit
  • Experience with Risa, SAP2000, or Finite Element Modeling
  • Experience with Post-Tensioned Concrete

Salary and Benefits

  • Base Annual Salary Range: $90,000 to $105,000 (Dependent on experience)
  • Annual Benefits: 10 Holidays (8 designated, 2 floating), 15 Paid Sick/Vacation Days, Health Insurance, Long/Short Term Disability, Additional benefits dependent on experience and performance.
  • Optional 9/80 work schedule
