Responsibilities

• Learn Walgreens operations to lead full store operations across front-end and pharmacy, completing the accelerated development track to Store Manager as outlined in the learning plan.
• Under the Store Manager's guidance, oversee store operations, including front-end and pharmacy.
• Support store operations by shadowing or assisting the Store Manager during the learning journey.

Training & Personal Development

• Complete a rigorous, accelerated program including all certifications needed for the Store Manager role.
• Participate in classroom, online, and on-the-job training, including rotations in other stores as assigned.
• Follow development plans, engage in one-on-one discussions with Store and District Managers, and demonstrate proficiency in learning topics.
• Seek self-development by monitoring performance, learning about retail, pharmacy, and management best practices.
• Implement compliance SOPs across front-end and pharmacy, and gain knowledge of all systems and software.
• Obtain pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by law and pursue PTCB certification if applicable.

Customer Experience

• Engage with customers and patients, resolve complaints, and model customer service best practices.
• Monitor and improve customer service, coaching team members and analyzing feedback.
• Assist Store Manager in observing customer service trends and improving service metrics.

Operations

• Gain experience supervising store operations, including opening/closing, merchandising, and delegating tasks.
• Support asset protection and monitor loss prevention systems.
• Learn inventory management, including receiving, pricing, and transfers, ensuring SOP compliance.
• Supervise store compliance with laws and regulations, and ensure safety and respectful relationships.
• Complete assigned tasks and assist team members as needed.

Business Performance Management

• Analyze store and pharmacy performance data, develop action plans to improve sales and control costs.
• Identify sales opportunities and develop strategies for growth.
• Review asset protection data and implement loss reduction plans.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience.
• Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Willing to accept and transfer to Store Manager positions as offered.

Preferred Qualifications

• PTCB Certification.
• Bachelors Degree.
• Experience in retail or hospitality management with leadership skills.
