Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake architecture , data modeling , data quality frameworks , and extensive experience with Python , SQL , and advanced Snowflake features such as Snowpipe , SnowSQL , and Snowpark . You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and data science use cases across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize data models (Star, Snowflake, and Data Vault) to support business intelligence and analytics.
• Design and implement data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
• Build and maintain data ingestion processes using Snowpipe , SnowSQL , and third-party tools.
• Leverage Snowpark for advanced transformation and data science workloads.
• Implement robust security and access control policies within the Snowflake environment.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
• Monitor performance and optimize queries, pipelines, and Snowflake storage/computation.
• Support production deployment and perform root cause analysis on any issues related to the Snowflake environment.
• Document design decisions, data flows, and processes for cross-team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture , Snowpipe , SnowSQL , and Snowpark .
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for ETL/ELT development and data transformation.
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (3NF, Star, Snowflake, Data Vault).
• Experience implementing data quality checks , lineage, and validation mechanisms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools for deploying data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced).
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt.
• Exposure to streaming data pipelines and event-driven architecture.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
