Security Supervisor

• Location: Running Aces Casino Hotel Racetrack - 15201 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN 55025
• Schedule: Full time 11 PM-7:30 AM

Purpose of the Security Supervisor:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for directing, training and evaluating roughly 4 to 7 Security Officers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate staffing levels.
• Directs (including training), evaluates, and manages the performance of Security Officers.
• Reviews reports for accuracy and timeliness, and ensures submission to appropriate recipient(s).
• Ability to solve problems with customers and staff while adhering to Department Operating Procedures, as well as propose unique solutions to attain desirable outcomes.
• Expected to be familiar with Minnesota Racing Commission rules and regulations.
• Expected to provide ongoing training to Security Officers on SOP’s, Guest Service initiatives, First Aid, and Emergency Response Program guidelines.
• Expected to submit daily activity reports.
• Must be able to work with Running Aces time and attendance system for scheduling and tracking PTO/UTO requests, tardiness, and completing basic scheduling.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

• A.A. Degree, previous supervisory experience including participation in a disciplinary process, demonstrated competency in training, scheduling and policy development, or a combination of both.
• Possess the ability to make sound judgements.
• EMT Certification preferred.
• Must be First Aid, CPR, AED certified or capable of attaining certification within 3 months of hire.
• Must be able to pass Motor Vehicle driving record.
• Possess computer skills on Microsoft Office Suite and Network
• Must be able to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
• Prior management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to provide friendly, polity and courteous customer service when interacting with guests.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Must project confidence to customers and employees and be able to resolve problems in stressful situations.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Knowledgeable of Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
• Must possess the ability to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission gaming license

Physical, intellectual and environmental conditions:

• Must have the ability to remain calm and professional at all times.
• Regularly required to talk, hear and observe activity.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time for foot patrols.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs.
• Must be able to think quickly and dialogue with patrons and staff.
• Must be able to solve problems in a courteous and professional manner when dealing with customers and employees.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment with varying light levels.
• Required to work outside in all climates.
• Work in a crowded, tense, chaotic, and occasionally hostile environment.
• Able to work extended periods of time.
