The Opportunity:
We are seeking an energetic and driven Hotel & Event Sales Manager to join our opening team. This is your chance to shape the sales strategy of a landmark destination from the ground up—building relationships, showcasing our one-of-a-kind spaces, and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests and clients.
What You’ll Do:
· Lead proactive hotel and event sales efforts to drive occupancy, group bookings, weddings, and social/corporate events.
· Build strong relationships with local businesses, community partners, and event planners to position Markham Hotel as the go-to destination on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
· Develop and execute creative sales strategies to exceed revenue targets.
· Create customized proposals, contracts, and event plans that highlight our boutique charm and historic character.
· Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of events and guest experiences.
· Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and community gatherings.
What We’re Looking For:
· Proven experience in hotel, hospitality, or event sales. Boutique or luxury background a plus.
· Entrepreneurial spirit—excited to roll up your sleeves and contribute to a successful opening.
· Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Passion for hospitality, storytelling, and creating memorable experiences.
