Rigger Trade Skill Requirements
\n\n***Must Have Security Clearance
\n\na. Rigger must have at least 3 years of rigging experience in a heavy industrial work environment such as ship building or outfitting or commercial building construction. Also experience with layout, connecting and rigging. Candidate will also have ability to work at all heights is a must.
\nb. Rigger shall have sufficient knowledge of the common and most typical operations of rigging on U.S. Naval Surface Ship and Submarine platforms.
\nc. Rigger shall be proficient with the installation, removal, and repositioning of machinery, structural members of ships or buildings, heavy equipment or other loads.
\nd. Rigger shall have working knowledge of maneuvering loads, bracing, cushioning, preparing, and attaching lifting gear; and installing, beam clamps, and other supporting structures.
\ne. Rigger shall have a thorough understanding of rigging practices, and safety factors of rigging equipment.
