Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Nurse in our Pre Admissions Testing you will provide excellent patient care to individuals related to their upcoming surgical procedures. Our team works hard to support each other, we are looking for an amazing nurse who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

In this role:

• Gather patient health history via phone call or in person, provide blood draws, EKG’s and document in Meditech to meet state and hospital guidelines and policies.
• You will provide pre-operative education in a manner that is appropriate for patient understanding and learning ability
• You will interact with physicians, nursing staff, other department, patient and family in a positive and professional manner.
• You will evaluate and document histories and assesses risk factors that may interfere with administration of anesthesia or delay surgical procedure.
• You may be asked to assist in Day Surgery/Ambulatory Surgery Pre-Op on occasion when needed to assist with basic nursing cares, passing meds etc.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse License or Compact RN License

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification (offered in new employment orientation).
