Job Title: Material Handler Picker/Packer Location: Landisville, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: The Material Handler Picker/Packer plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the warehouse, responsible for accurately selecting, packaging, and preparing materials and products for shipment. This position ensures that the correct items are picked and packed efficiently, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining the quality of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Picking and Packing Orders: Accurately pick and pack products based on order requirements using pick lists or electronic scanners.
- Material Handling: Move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse using manual or mechanical methods such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Ensure correct inventory is stored, tracked, and rotated. Assist in stock replenishment and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Shipping and Receiving: Assist in receiving, verifying, and storing incoming shipments. Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and packaging items securely.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects, ensuring only quality products are shipped to customers.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas clean and organized, following safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including order forms, packing slips, and inventory logs.
Qualifications: - Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous warehouse, picker/packer, or material handling experience is an asset, but not required.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [Insert Weight]).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Comfortable using handheld scanners and other basic warehouse technology.
Work Environment: - Requires standing for extended periods.
- May involve working in varying temperature environments
- Regularly lifting or moving materials that are moderately heavy.
Schedule: - 7am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday
- Overtime may be required during peak periods.
Compensation: $16.00 to $17.00/hour (.25 shift differential for 3rd shift)
We need a Material Handler paying $17.00/hour; advancement available as a temp, available overtime!!!
