Office Assistant - Part Time The Position: PackSmart is a growing packaging equipment and supply company looking to add an Office Assistant to support our team. This would be a Part Time 16-24 hours/week position dependent on week's workload and demands. The ideal candidate would have 1+ years of general office experience. Starting compensation is $15 - $19.50/hour commensurate with experience.

Requirements: - 1 or more years of general office experience.
- High School diploma.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office and accessing and using the Internet.
- Excellent verbal skills - ability to speak clearly, confidently, and professionally both on the telephone and in-person.
- Writing skills - ability to write clearly and succinctly.
- Positive attitude, team oriented, self-starter who can work alone and in a collaborative manner to achieve team goals.
Responsibilities: - Answer telephones, greet callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Perform customer service activities - external and internal (i.e. verify shipping, schedule appointments, follow-up on orders, etc.).
- Backup to customer service order processing.
- Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.
- Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as correspondence, or other material.
- Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
- Coordinating company events and maintain calendars.
- Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
- Make copies of correspondence or other printed material.
- Assist office personnel with administrative tasks.
