Packer - Day Shift

Overview:

$14.60 - $16.25

Day shift - this is a 12-hour rotating shift with two....3-day weekends OFF a month. APPLY NOW!

BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking for packers to join our expanding Packing department. This position entails packing metal that has been extruded and preparing it to be shipped out or to go to another department for changes.

Essential duties of the Packing Utility Worker:

Retrieve racks from holding area

Push rack to workstation

Place work horses up on table

Cut wood/cardboard down as needed

Pack the metal with the appropriate material to specifications

Operate industrial vehicles and equipment.

Move product and/or materials manually as required

Document the appropriate production information on paper and then into a computer

Comply with Company policies including but not limited to all safety policies

Requirements The Packing Utility Worker:

Must be 18 years of age to work in the plant.

Must be able to work varying shifts as needed

Must have ability to read and understand basic instructions

Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Familiarity with computers is a plus, but we will train

Physical requirements:

This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb and push/pull frequently. With proper safety equipment, an individual in this role may work above ground level (off the ground) occasionally. An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them. An individual in this role must move 25lbs frequently and up to 75lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and/or traverse the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures.
