JOB OVERVIEW:

The Network Support Specialist position will assist in all duties and tasks related to support, maintenance, and growth of Wire 3’s expanding network. The position will also assist as needed with other operational technological needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support Wire 3 FTTH network equipment.
• Assist with setup, configuration, and installation of new FTTH network sites.
• Assist and support Wire 3 Network Department projects.
• Assist and support Wire 3 OSP and Installation Technicians in troubleshooting.
• Assist and support Wire 3 CSR department with advanced troubleshooting and customer problem resolutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• The ability and willingness to learn on the job.
• Advanced networking technology stack (Wired and Wireless) knowledge.
• High level general computer literacy.
• Advanced troubleshooting.
• Solid interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability for self-management.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

• Associate's degree or equivalent (Trade and/or Technical school program completion), Bachelors degree preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Coverage hours may include nights or weekends.
• Most work is performed indoors but some installation work will be completed in the field.
• Must be able to travel locally to support Central Florida regions.
