Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute outstanding dishes in accordance with Windmills' recipes and plating standards.
  • Embrace the flavors of Indian fusion through spice blending, traditional sauces, and modern interpretations.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and prep ingredients with attention to freshness, quality, and consistency.
  • Operate grills, ovens, fryers, steamers, and other kitchen equipment with confidence and care.
  • Garnish and present dishes that are both flavorful and visually stunning.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and kitchen organization.
  • Report safety incidents and uphold food handling compliance in accordance with Texas health regulations.
  • Participate in cross-training across kitchen stations to support team performance and versatility.
  • Collaborate with chefs and teammates to deliver a consistent and inspired guest experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Cook.
  • Passion for cultural cuisine and willingness to learn Indian flavor profiles and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills.
  • Solid understanding of hot and cold food preparation.
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment such as slicers, processors, mixers, etc.
  • Able to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team (English, Spanish, Hindi).
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly valued.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must hold or obtain a valid Texas Food Handler certification prior to start.
