ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Item Master and GS1 Data Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating product information, including SKU numbers, GS1 barcodes, and other essential data within our systems. You will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all product-related entries, facilitating smooth product management and compliance across various departments. This role is hybrid (on-site/remote).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and Maintain Product Data: Enter and update item-specific data in our ERP database, including SKUs, product descriptions, item specs, HTS and pricing information.
  • GS1 System Management: Enter, update, and maintain accurate GS1 barcode information for all products in the GS1 system. Ensure each product’s barcode is correctly formatted and aligned with global GS1 data structures and standards.
  • Data Accuracy & Integrity: Perform routine audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product data within internal systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing and other relevant teams to ensure accurate product data is provided and timely update to resolve any discrepancies in SKU or barcode information.
  • Troubleshoot Data Issues: Address and resolve issues related to incorrect or missing data fields, ensuring smooth operations across the supply chain and customer-facing platforms.
  • Inventory Management Support: Collaborate with team members to ensure product data is accurate and up to date for inventory forecasting, stock management, and replenishment planning.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records and documentation for all product-related data entries and changes. Generate reports for internal stakeholders as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to data management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in product data management, inventory control, or related fields. Experience with GS1 barcodes and Item Master data management is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Experience with NetSuite is preferred. Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in data and ensure all product information is accurate and up to date.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of GS1 standards and barcode formatting.
  • Experience with inventory management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
