Job Title: Full-Time Instructional Coach

Location: Salpointe Catholic High School

Reports To: Assistant Principal for Academics

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Type: 10 month Contract

Position Summary:

Salpointe Catholic High School seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Instructional Coach to support and enhance the instructional practices of faculty in alignment with Catholic educational values. The Instructional Coach will work collaboratively with teachers, department chairs, and administrators to improve teaching effectiveness, foster professional growth, and support student achievement while promoting the integration of faith and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with teachers to plan, model, co-teach, and reflect on instructional practices that support student engagement and learning.
  • Provide individualized coaching and feedback to teachers across all subject areas to enhance pedagogy and promote academic excellence.
  • Facilitate professional development sessions aligned with school goals, and current best practices in education.
  • Use data to identify instructional needs, measure progress, and guide decision-making.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to implement initiatives related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and Catholic identity.
  • Support new teacher onboarding and mentoring programs.
  • Support the Assistant Principal for Academics and teachers through the PLC process.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and reflective teaching.
  • Assist with instructional planning aligned to state standards and the school’s mission.
  • Work with the Assistant Principal for Academics on special projects

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Current teaching certification/license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful high school classroom teaching experience.
  • Deep understanding of effective instructional strategies, adult learning, and student-centered pedagogy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in instructional coaching, teacher leadership, or curriculum development.
