Job Description

Title: Embedded C/C++ Developer with Media Domain

Location: Dallas, TX

Term: Contract

Mandatory Skills:

Media domain expertise
Proficient OS and programming skills
Strong build, debug, analysis, and testing capabilities

Role Description & Required Skills:

Adaptive media streaming (client-side integration)
Media playback & multimedia frameworks (GStreamer, FFmpeg)
Wayland/DirectFB, Apple AirPlay media content delivery
Experience with PlayReady DRM 4.x and basic cryptography
Network fundamentals: TCP/UDP packet filtering & analysis
Boost ASIO, socket programming, Linux boot-up & services
Linux IPC, shared libraries, journald log analysis, core dump debugging
C++ 14 & 17 features (std::optional, std::async etc.)
Expertise in C, C++, multithreading, OOAD
Build systems: CMake, Make, Meson; cross-compilation skills
Familiarity with SnapCraft, Docker, Conan, GitHub Actions
WebSockets, REST APIs
Unit testing: Catch2, GoogleTest, BDD frameworks
Scripting: Shell, Python; Tools: Jira
Understand and maintain complex C++ codebases
Proactive in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Able to mentor junior engineers and prioritize/deliver on time
