Title: Embedded C/C++ Developer with Media Domain

Location: Dallas, TX

Term: Contract

Mandatory Skills:

• Media domain expertise
• Proficient OS and programming skills
• Strong build, debug, analysis, and testing capabilities

Role Description & Required Skills:

• Adaptive media streaming (client-side integration)
• Media playback & multimedia frameworks (GStreamer, FFmpeg)
• Wayland/DirectFB, Apple AirPlay media content delivery
• Experience with PlayReady DRM 4.x and basic cryptography
• Network fundamentals: TCP/UDP packet filtering & analysis
• Boost ASIO, socket programming, Linux boot-up & services
• Linux IPC, shared libraries, journald log analysis, core dump debugging
• C++ 14 & 17 features (std::optional, std::async etc.)
• Expertise in C, C++, multithreading, OOAD
• Build systems: CMake, Make, Meson; cross-compilation skills
• Familiarity with SnapCraft, Docker, Conan, GitHub Actions
• WebSockets, REST APIs
• Unit testing: Catch2, GoogleTest, BDD frameworks
• Scripting: Shell, Python; Tools: Jira
• Understand and maintain complex C++ codebases
• Proactive in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Able to mentor junior engineers and prioritize/deliver on time
