We’re seeking an energetic and compassionate DSP-3 Dance Professional to join our team! In this role, you’ll deliver dynamic and inclusive dance instruction for adults in our day programs, creating movement-based experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and personal growth.

You’ll also be a key member of the TERI Players (our in-house theater company), contributing to both film and live productions through choreography, movement, and performance support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement adapted dance instruction tailored to all levels of ability, including improvisation, cultural dance education, and rhythm-based movement.
• Provide personal hygiene care (e.g. assistance with toileting & feeding) and behavioral support for a primary group of four individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Foster social skills, memory, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression through structured dance experiences.
• Collaborate on full-scale TERI Players theater and film productions, supporting technical aspects including lighting, sound, and set design.
• Co-create inclusive community dance classes held at TERI Campus of Life.
• Lead off-site movement and dance programs as needed.
• Participate in behavioral support services, including BEST (Behavioral Emergency Safety Training).
• Maintain thorough documentation on client progress, behavior, and session outcomes.
• Regularly communicate and coordinate with the Musical Arts Professional for interdisciplinary programming.
• Uphold TERI’s “Fit for Life” philosophy by actively participating in health and wellness initiatives.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related setting.

Rate: $25 / Hour
