Position Summary

The Director of IT is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, implementation, and support of technology solutions that enhance the efficiency, security, and scalability of Elevate Eyecare's infrastructure. This role oversees a small but growing team and partners cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, Operations, Acquisitions, and our Contact Center (Center of Excellence). The Director ensures that IT initiatives align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute the IT roadmap in alignment with Elevates business goals.
  • Identify and implement scalable technology solutions that support growth and integration of new acquisitions.
  • Lead IT due diligence and integration planning for new practices joining the Elevate network.

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Oversee network infrastructure across 75+ locations, ensuring uptime, security, and performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware, internet providers, MSPs, phone systems, and cloud services.
  • Partner with EHR teams to optimize system functionality and integrations, especially with AcuityLogic and EyefinityEHR.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols, including data protection and disaster recovery.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing IT team.
  • Set departmental goals and track progress through metrics and reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize and manage IT tickets and projects across the organization.

Support & Service Delivery

  • Oversee helpdesk operations to ensure efficient resolution of tickets and issues.
  • Standardize hardware/software procurement and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
  • Manage inventory tracking systems and ensure consistency across locations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success managing infrastructure across multi-site organizations.
  • Experience managing projects involving EyefinityEHR and AcuityLogic.
  • Deep knowledge of IT security practices and HIPAA compliance.
  • Strong vendor management and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare or optometric settings.
  • Experience in Database Management
  • Experience with VoIP platforms, Microsoft Suite
    and centralized ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise).
