At Hotel Fort Des Moines , a reimagined local landmark, we’re seeking a savvy, guest-centric Director of Food & Beverage to lead our restaurant, bar, and banquet operations with flair, focus, and finesse. What you’ll do

• Lead and energize the entire F&B operation - from daily execution to long-term strategy.
• Own the numbers: drive revenue, manage costs, and maximize profitability across outlets.
• Build and mentor a standout team - hire, train, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Curate and evolve menus alongside culinary leaders to stay fresh, relevant, and crave-worthy.
• Champion operational excellence - maintain cleanliness, quality, and guest satisfaction standards.
• Ensure flawless banquet execution - from prep to plate to polish.
• Be present - lead from the floor during peak periods to ensure service shines.

What we’re looking for

• Prior hotel F&B leadership experience—restaurant, bar, and banquets
• A flair for numbers, operations, and guest experience
• Culinary training is a bonus, but strong hospitality instincts are a must
• Comfortable managing budgets, schedules, training plans, and vendor relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
