Job Description

As a Data Governance Manager - Finance here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures to ensure master data accuracy, integrity, and security within the finance function. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance strategies, standards, and controls to facilitate financial operations and decision-making. Your expertise in data governance will be instrumental in optimizing financial processes, enhancing data quality, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will report directly to the Finance Data Governance Sr Director, and you will work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will be accountable for driving data governance initiatives that will impact the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Honeywell. Your work will involve establishing data quality standards, implementing data validation processes, and ensuring that finance master data is accurate, secure, and compliant. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in shaping the master data governance framework that facilitates our financial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End to end process ownership of FDG initiatives, including data governance, data quality and data standards
  • Provide customer support to global, cross-functional Honeywell teams for the FDG process, EHM application (Enterprise Hierarchy Management) and other Finance initiatives
  • Review our processes and work with IT teams to implement improvements and automation
  • Facilitate finance system implementations and upgrades by ensuring data governance considerations are integrated into system design and configuration.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Accounting or Finance Roles. Experience in data governance, data management, or related roles is a plus.
  • Experience with Data Management and Data Governance Processes
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Project Management experience on Enterprise-wide projects

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications in data governance or data management are a plus.
  • Experience in finance systems management, financial reporting, or financial decision-making
  • Proficiency in data governance tools, data quality tools, and data management best practices (Oracle EDMC a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex data governance concepts to non-technical stakeholders
