Correctional Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Travel Position
Location: Asheville, NC
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Days
Pay: $1,652.40/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Correctional LPN/LVN to provide quality nursing care to individuals within a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to deliver safe, patient-centered care while maintaining security and professionalism in a correctional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide basic nursing care, including patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and treatments.
Assist with triage, sick calls, chronic care, and emergency interventions as needed.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to supervising nurses or physicians.
Support patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with facility policies.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care plans and ensure continuity of care.
Follow all safety protocols, infection control standards, and correctional facility regulations.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
Active and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in NC
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience - correctional
