This is a senior editorial role, whose purpose is to assist the Editorial Manager in implementing high editorial standards consistent with AJ+ brand identity in all of our video and supporting text outputs. The position involves helping shape our daily coverage agenda, serving as a script editor by engaging with scripts to promote editorially sound reporting and storytelling. It also requires serving as an editorial gatekeeper, helping ensure the accuracy and correctness (including grammar and usage) of our reporting and also of all text on screen, titles and descriptions prior to publication. The Content Reviewer works with all editorial content across AJ+ and helps maintain, update and implement AJ+ style guide and reporting guidelines. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Reading scripts for accuracy, clarity, style, effectiveness in communicating concepts and consistency with AJ+ editorial values Engaging with the producers and Executive Producers, seeking revisions and promoting the highest standards in our work. Reviewing final title and descriptions as well as photos and videos ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Help develop coverage guidelines on key issues Help implement these guidelines, and maintain and update AJ+ style guide Help develop workflows to improve EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor Degree Level 5 Year’s Experience in a similar role at media organization that produces news and current affairs SKILLS Sound editorial judgement and abilities Strong writing skills Attention to detail KNOWLEDGE Excellent knowledge and awareness of global and national affairs Experience in shaping editorial output Solid grasp of language and usage Solid grasp of journalistic ethics and fundamentals Time management Strong interpersonal communication skill #J-18808-Ljbffr mediaget
