As we continue to expand our Behavioral Health services, we have an opening for a skilled board-certified/board-eligible Adult Psychiatrist for our new “At Risk” program. This program is designed to stabilize patients who may be at risk for higher level of care treatment. This approach consists of weekly outpatient psychiatry visits plus 2-3 individual cognitive behavioral therapy visits pr/wk for 6-weeks. The goal is to stabilize and prevent the need for intensive outpatient or inpatient stays. After patients successful completion the 6-weeks, they are stepped down to our successful 10-week CBT treatment program. The chosen candidate will work collaboratively with our primary care and specialty providers, cognitive behavioral therapists, and embedded primary care clinicians utilizing a hybrid work schedule. They will manage a wide variety of moderate severity psychiatric conditions as well as provide psychiatric consultations. They will also help the psychiatry program grow and progress as it enters into the realm of value-based care. Responsibilities will include: Managing patients in the “At Risk” behavioral health program Providing direct patient care including psychiatric assessment and medication management Performing psychiatric consultations to primary care patients Developing psychiatry services and programs to meet the needs of Summit Health’s patients and providers Successful candidates must be a NJ licensed Psychiatrist.
